Band Starts On a Roll
The PCJB performed on Friday night at the Southern Regional High School Jazz Band Festival and took home all but one of the eight performance awards. Congratulations!The Festival, held near Long Beach Island, NJ, included bands from Jackson Liberty, Senenca, Mainland, and Pitman.

About the PCJB
The Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band (PCJB) has been an integral part of the Pennsbury Instrumental Music Program since 1959. The band has performed on the Johnny Carson "Tonight Show," at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Mellon Jazz Festival, and the Montreal Jazz Festival.
Guest soloists through the years have included Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Bill Watrous, Terell Stafford, Carl Allen, Phil Woods, and Wayne Bergeron.
The Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band has the distinct honor of being the first American high school jazz band to perform throughout the People's Republic of China.Many compositions have been composed for the PCJB by such jazz great, Grammy-award winning composers as Sammy Nestico, Frank Mantooth, and Bob Mintzer.
